The hotel provides excellent a la carte meals in its Bistro from an extensive menu offering traditional Pub food and a Chefs Specialty board for that something special. The Bistro is open for lunch and dinner Thursday to Sunday. An extensive range of local wines and beers are available to accompany your meal.
Wednesday is pot ‘n’ parma night with superb Chicken and Veal Parmigana’s served with a pot of the coldest, cleanest beer on tap in the northeast or a glass of a locally produced house wine for a budget $12.
With a wealth of knowledge on restaurants, hotels, clubs and pubs, Chef John Fanning has 25 years of experience in food and wine. Having completed his apprenticeship, he worked for a number of years at the world class Regency Hotel in Melbourne and the renowned Jean Jacques By The Sea before heading for the bush. He was employed as Head Chef at the Hotel Australia in Shepparton before moving to The Tocumal Golf Club, Georgina’s Restaurant in Benalla and finally finding his way to the Moyhu Hotel.
John has proven that he not only has a great understanding and feel for culinary finesse but also an appreciation for wine and its association with food.
